Capitol Reef National Park - Grand Wash - Summer

The Grand Wash cuts through the Waterpocket Fold. There is a good trail through the spectacular canyon walled by sheer rock the entire way. These pictures are from an early morning hike from the eastern entrance off of Highway 24 to the Narrows in the middle. One day soon I want to hike the canyon from the western entrance on the park's Scenic Drive. This particular morning I was too short on time to walk the entire canyon. This would be an ideal two car hike.
