Canyonlands National Park - Roadside Ruin

The ancient people who lived in this area grew corn, squash and beans. In order to protect their winter food supply from rabbits, mice, birds and the weather, they built small storage chambers close to their fields. This short trail off of the main road leads to the ruins of one such storage chamber well situated inside a small cave.
