Mule Canyon Ruin

Mule Canyon Ruin was occupied from about 750 A.D. until 1150 A.D. The block of twelve rooms was connected to the kiva and tower by two crawl tunnels. The rooms were used for sleeping and storage. Entrance to the rooms was by ladder through a doorway in the ceiling. During good weather cooking and eating was done on the roof patio. The kiva was used for ceremonial purposes. The tower's function is unknown but it might have been used for storage, defense, solar observation, or ceremonies.
