A Trip to Russia - Yaroslavl - Church of Elijah the Prophet - Spring

An American friend of mine saw these pictures and commented that the building looked to be a bit run down. I gently tried to point out that the frescos on the walls were painted over three hundred years ago. It didn't make any difference. He still thought that the place was "run down." He is a good man and remains my friend, but I no longer try to talk to him about this kind of thing. We get along better if talking about football.
