There does not appear to be much to Goritzy other than a very small agricultural village surrounding the place where the ships tie up to off load tourists going to see the wonders of the Kirilo-Belozersky Monastery, located a bit further inland. It appears to be a very pleasant, very quiet community with an interest in their livestock and crops. We were not given very much time to explore, but it turned out to be enough to see the entire community. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the wild flowers were spectacular - even if some in our group looked down on them as "mere" dandelions.
