Colorado National Monument - Monument Canyon - Summer |

The six mile long trail one way through Monument Canyon is fairly level except for the 600 foot climb up to Rim Rock Drive. It provides spectacular views up close and personal with some of the most famous of the monuments in the park. There is no water and virtually no shade in the canyon. Carry plenty of water. The sun is relentless. Wear a hat. |
