This map outlines the route described in the accompaning article.

This is a Google map and can be used in all of the remarkable ways that Google maps can be used. Drag it in any direction, double click on a spot to zoom in, or use the map navigation tool in the upper left hand corner. The blue markers indicate the approximate location of some of the destinations mentioned in the article. If you wander around and lose your focus just reload the page in your browser. You will come back to the original map orientation.

It is a best practice to zoom in to the specific area that you wish to learn about. As you zoom further and further you obtain more information about an ever smaller area. Also please be advised that this is particularly important when trying to determine what the blue markers are marking. The map sometimes get's confused when the markers are too close together. By zooming in you will spread the markers apart and they become more accurate. (Tip: place your cursor on a spot clear of markers and double click repeatedly. You will be able to zoom more quickly and with greater accuracy than if you use the map navigation tool.)

Be sure to check locally for up-to-date driving conditions and recent changes that might impact your travel. Be warned that not all roads indicated on this map are suitable for all vehicles and individual driving preferences. An old fashioned printed map is always a useful accouterment for travel in unfamiliar territory.
