Grand Mesa - A Morning Drive - Summer |

Grand Mesa Is a high plateau just west of Grand Junction, Colorado. The low land below is desert while the mesa top is alpine in nature. Numerous lakes are sprinkled through verdant confier forest. The area is in sharp contrast to nearby Colorado National Monument. State Highway 55 crosses the Grand Mesa from Interstate Highway 70 and the Colorado River to Delta, Colorado, and State Highway 50. There is snow on the mesa in winter. |
