Rocky Mountain National Park - Holzwarth Trout Lodge - Fall |

The Holzwarth Trout Lodge is located on the Colorado River inside the Rocky Mountain National Park and is maintained as a historical site. John and Sophie Holzwarth and their family operated the Trout Lodge during the 1920s. A short trail leads one to the lodge site where several buildings are being utilized by the park service. Beavers have damed the Colorado River running through the meadow in front of the lodge and elk graze in the distance. |
